Challenge
A $3.5bn Private Equity biotech firm with an embedded $500mm Hedge Fund based in Boston approached us with an urgent need. They had to quickly find a replacement CFO after an abrupt departure by the sitting CFO.
Our Approach
Our recruiters immediately began mapping out and identifying all of the local biotech Private Equity firms with embedded Hedge Funds. We worked hand in hand with our client to identify two dozen similar firms with CFO’s to target. We carefully handled all the interviews and heavy lifting during the hiring process, maintaining discreet communication to ensure the privacy of both the client and candidates. After 2 weeks of beginning this search, we presented them with 4 highly qualified candidates.
Results
Within 6 weeks of initiating this process, an offer was made and accepted for a replacement CFO. After 2 years, the candidate happily remains as the sitting CFO for our client and was promoted to partner in 2024.
